Birds

The days lay unborn, ’til they come along
Draping the morn’ with exquisite song
Chirping sweet somethings, but what do they say
To me there’s no doubt, they show us the way

Your voice is a wave which carries us all
Without which for sure, we’d crumble and fall
Thank you so much for conducting our life
And singing away our nonsense and strife

What beauty you wear, in splendid design
And wisdom you hold, from a place beyond time
You are guardian angels, and teachers most wise
Of stillness and freedom, and beauty outside

Oh, thank you sweet birds, my dear feathered friends
Your morning embrace I deeply depend
I’d kiss you all, on your cute little heads
But wingless down here, I’ll wave up instead
